Min dia obtainable = 1.4 x top dia at amx width & max thickness allowed on machine Specification are mild steel of U.T.S 42-50 kg/mm and yield 24 kg/mm. Capacities based on more passes. Specification subject to change/modification without prior notice.
 
ROLL CONFIGURATION
Top roll is fixed position and driven.It can be slipped out to remove the finished shell. Bottom up to clamp and drive the sheet forward. Lateral roll is not driven but moves upwards for pre-bending and rolling to desired diameter.
  Standard Features- Accessories:-
  • All three rolls driven irrespective of roll position.
  • Parallelism and inclination of rolls carried out directly by control desk.
  • Bottom rolls lifted by two hydraulic cylinders with connecting rods.
  • Big housing and small housing are bolted at heavy strong base structure.
  • Small hydraulic drop-end permits bending cones of smaller diameters. Extended rolls for mounting section bending dies. ( for most models )
  • Cone bending device.
  • Movable control desk.
  • Safety wire on perimeter for operator protection.
  • All rotating parts are lubricated, either by centralized hand pump or are mounted on self-lubricating materials for minimal maintenance requirements.
  • DRIVE MECHANISM

  • Low Capacity Models.
  • One hydraulic motor-reduction gearing drives all the rolls.
  • Bottom rolls rotate around large gear for rotary motion and approach-return from the top roll.
  • The gear drives top roll through slip clutch which also acts as torque limiting device offering overload protection, reducing the top roll speed to compensate speed differences of outer-inner edges of the plate.
  • Medium Capacity Models.
  • Two sets of hydraulic motor-reduction gearing drives.
  • One drives the toothed gear from which bottom rolls get rotary and approach-return motions.
  • Second directly drives the top roll. Direct drive to top simplifies cone bending operation.
  • Heavy Capacity Models.
  • Driven by 3 individual motors with epicyclic reduction gears for maximum rolling power and speed.

  • Extra features in heavy capacity models.
  • Lateral rolls slide along inclined hardened and ground guides.
  • Lower rolls have longer stroke for easy feeding of plate during pinching.
  • Four digital readouts for bottom rolls position and correct roll inclination for cone rolling.
  • Parallelism-inclination of rolls controlled by microprocessor for most models.
  • Inter changeable top roll for small and special sectioned-cylinders.
  • Counterbalanced top roll for easy extraction of shell and minimal flat edge.
Horizontal – Vertical Operation Bending Rolls
  • Best for rolling large dia. In long plates.
  • Operate horizontally or vertically.
  • Large dia. When vertical, small dia. When horizontal.
  • Easy overturning, easy feed-in.
  • Thrust bearings supported load of each roll.
  • Plate supported throughout operation.
  • Low and medium capacity models only.
  • More convenient for rolling large storage tanks,
  • Silos, oil refinery installation etc.

  • Prebend both edges in two operations without removing plate.
  • Less handling, faster shells-approx. 30% faster single pinch.
  • Versatile-suitable for thin and thick sheets, small and large.
  • Titable rolls, cone bending device helps pre-pinching of cones.
